Fibre to the Mast Solutions are through the roof!

Fibre to the Mast Solutions are through the roof!

Juice Broadband’s ‘Fibre to the Mast’ Superfast and Ultrafast Internet solutions have seen a huge spike in connections already in quarter 2 of 2021.

Smart devices, Security systems, mobiles, consoles, tablets and laptops all want their slice of the bandwidth pie and it has a big impact on real time Web applications like Skype, Teams and VoIP phone calls.

If you are lucky enough to live close to the local exchange, you may be receiving a fast connection.  If you are really lucky you may be one of the first to receive Full Fibre Ultrafast to the home which is being delivered over the coming years to a wider audience in Poole , Christchurch and Bournemouth.   Unfortunately, this is not often the case in rural Dorset.

We are seeing many more people looking for an alternative Internet connection to the traditional Fibre to the Cabinet copper based broadband, largely due to inadequate speeds or the highly contended nature of these services.

It’s typical to see bandwidth speeds tail off heavily when kids come home from school and start to use the Internet for data-heavy applications like video streaming and gaming.

This is where our wireless Point-to-Point microwave solutions (Fibre to the Mast) come in to their own.  If you are in range and have line of sight  to of one of our transmission towers around the area you can receive superfast (Ultrafast typically within 1 Kilometre) We can offer a bandwidth option to match your usage and be flexible with contract terms that work for you.  When you couple this with our high level local support, this is the reason more and more customers are moving to Juice Broadband.  We offer something that the bigger carriers just cannot beat, our unrivalled local service.  We love that people really are starting to support local.

Please get in touch to discover more about our range of Internet connectivity, VoIP and WI-Fi solutions we can offer to help ease your buffering woes!

Ricki Hill – Unified Communications Manager

We are delighted to welcome  Ricki on board, he brings with him almost 2 decades of experience in the comms industry.  Our organic growth since we started in 2011 has been incredible but we are now at the point where we wanted an experienced sales and technical Manager to help us with  our next phase of growth, delivering top class solutions and support for our Fibre to the Mast Broadband, Business grade internet, leased lines,  point to point connections, telephone  systems and Wi Fi networks.  Ricki fits that role perfectly, it is exciting times for us as a local ISP.  With homes and businesses all relying much more on their connectivity to the Internet in the current climate, for the local area to have Juice as a provider of rock solid high speed solutions with local support has been a huge selling point for us and been key to our growth.

SecQuest Selects Wide FM as IT Hosting Partner

SecQuest have selected Wide FM in part due to their secure facilities, location and excellent high-speed resilient Internet connectivity service.

Paul Marsh, Director at SecQuest said “Wide FM’s facilities include a very modern hosting environment with high availability hot/cold-air efficient cooling systems, redundant power and a secure machine room with all the required physical security controls that you would expect of top-tier data centres. Connectivity is very important to us both in terms of high bandwidth and also full-failover of network links as this provides us with a secure and consistent business platform for client engagements across multiple industry sectors; Wide FM provides excellent services covering both of these requirements. We are confident of growth in 2021 and need leading edge hosting facilities to support this as we continue to deliver exceptional IT security services to existing and new clients.”.

SecQuest decided to revisit and upgrade their hosted IT systems to accommodate an imminent expansion of their business, which also includes new office facilities on the South Coast.

Wayne Simpson, MD of Wide FM said ” We’re really pleased to partner with fellow Dorset Chamber members SecQuest; the benchmark for building the data centre was ensuring a high quality and redundant facility for our own services, and Colocation for customers with the same requirements right here in Poole. By providing a bespoke cloud hosted product whilst meeting the stringent security requirements of SecQuest has confirmed that we’ve got this right.
